I mix and master music for singer‑songwriters, non-profits, and clients of all kinds. My mixes are warm, clear, and emotionally true to the artist. Pro Tools certified. Based in Denver. Working remotely with artists everywhere. A meaningful part of my work is with the non-profit, Purple Songs Can Fly (Houston). My wife, Tricia Fox, and I worked with Purple Songs Can Fly to launch “Bring Melodies to Life,” a remote songwriting program for families in Texas Children’s Hospital’s bone marrow transplant unit. We’ve crafted 50+ songs - writing, recording, mixing, and mastering with care. We don’t share these publicly to protect privacy, but I can provide limited samples on request. I’ve spent 20+ years on stage and in studios across Texas and Colorado - solo sets, guest guitarist, full bands. My debut album, “Safe From the Day,” dropped in 2008. I’ve released singles and appeared on several albums since. In 2025, I stepped away from a 15‑year tech product management career (Apple, Earbuds, Splice, Smartsheet) to focus on audio full‑time. These days I’m in the studio, at gigs around Denver, or at home with my wife, two kids, and a golden doodle who insists on supervising all projects. Ready to hear your song at its best? Colorado native Ryan Mecillas began his music journey busking the streets of Pueblo and has since built a strong presence in Denver’s indie scene. He’s headlined Denver staple Lost Lake, and played others like Globe Hall, The Meadowlark, and The Roxy -recording at Third & James Studios and The Spot Studios. After his first Lost Lake set in 2025, Ryan was invited back to headline and curate his own bill. Reflecting his growing presence in Denver’s independent music community. In 2025 he played showcases at the Denver Chalk Art Festival and Waldschänke Ciders & Coffee, further establishing his reputation as a standout local artist. Ryan’s nomadic upbringing shapes his songwriting—raw, emotionally honest, and full of restless energy. Blending acoustic pop-punk with folk, his sound is marked by sincerity, lyrical depth, and captivating guitar work.
